Newport Quay ( Day 9 )

This is the old Mews Brewery which for a long time supplied the Island with its beer, it closed about 50yrs ago and after laying derelict for many years was then turned into town houses as you can see from the image, the second picture is from a painting in 1813 and you can clearly see these buildings at the head of the river. : A painting of Newport harbour and quay by J. King in 1813.
