I have lived by this river for the last 19yrs and have only seen flooding like this once in all that time, I went onto the foot bridge to take this image in the rain, on picture and the flash went dead with flat batteries so it was a surprise to see this moorhen ( circled ) sat in her tree with the river flooding past.

Wow serious stuff. Do you worry about the flooding? I taken that bird does not.
